Who Is Involved
The Tribe has performed a number of sold-out shows—many of them fundraisers for local charities—at LA-area clubs & theaters, including several themed, multimedia events. In 2015, we performed a Beach Boys tribute at the Canyon in Agoura Hills and raised $20,000 for City of Hope. Approximately 700 people attended this show, and The Tribe decided to continue its efforts on a regular rotation, twice a year. That December, we reunited for a Rock ’n’ Roll Christmas show and sold out CSUN’s Plaza del Sol Performance Hall. Combined, these two events raised nearly $40,000. In June 2016 we performed a themed, multi-media show, The California Saga — A Musical Journey of the California Sound, for two nights at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles' Miracle Mile and raised another $20,000 for several local charities. This was followed by a relief concert for Hurricane MatthewVictims in Haiti at Vitello’s. In December, we returned to CSUN for an all-star themed holiday concert, “Peace, Love & Understanding”. In January 2017, The Tribe decided to dedicate its fundraising efforts to the homelessness crisis in Southern California and performed two all-star concerts that year: The Care Concert took place in June at the Downtown Palace Theatre, and then we returned to the El Rey in December for the "We Can" 80-s Dance Party. As we continue plans for our 2018 concerts, The Tribe gathered in late January to raise money for the Thomas Fire Victims and performed a Relief concert at Bogies in Westlake Village. Stay tuned for our Spring 2018 plans. We have 2 big events lined up: June 22/23 at the El Rey and July 3 at the Canyon.
